Modern Slavery Act Statement

Introduction 

Taboola is a business to business technology company that powers recommendations across the Open Web with an artificial intelligence-based, algorithmic engine, helping people all around the world discover things they may like, but never knew existed. Taboola’s subsidiary, Skimlinks, operates a service and a suite of technologies connecting online publishers, shopping platforms and merchants through demand partners.

We are committed to upholding the highest standards of professional business conduct and ethics. This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the United Kingdom’s Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the actions taken by Taboola to ensure that no slavery or human trafficking is taking place in its supply chain or any part of its business.

Organisation’s structure

Taboola.com Ltd (“Taboola”) is incorporated in Israel, headquartered in the United States, and operates globally through subsidiary entities located in Europe, Middle East and Africa, The Americas, and Asia Pacific. Taboola conducts its business in the United Kingdom through its subsidiary companies registered in England and Wales, including Taboola Europe Limited (Company Number 08119591) and Skimbit Ltd. (Company Number 06347796) (“Skimlinks”), both registered address at Aldgate House, 2nd Floor, 33 Aldgate High Street, London EC3N 1DL.

Our business 

Given that the nature of Taboola’s business is digital technology, our employees are generally skilled and educated workers. Prior to receiving an offer of employment, all prospective employees undergo an interview process, and such offers are subject to Taboola’s review of previous employment references.

Our supply chains

Taboola’s supply chain facilitates our day-to-day work, both in the office and online. It consists of the provision of IT and office equipment, together with professional services from organisations that assist our business operations, such as law and accountancy firms. For our offices, Taboola engages with reputable cleaning and food supply companies, to minimise the risk of using any suppliers which may be involved in slavery.

Measures to prevent slavery and human trafficking

Taboola’s Code of Conduct reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. Taboola’s anonymous Whistleblower Hotline allows Taboola’s employees to report any concerns or suspected violations of applicable law, on a confidential and anonymous basis. While we commit to reviewing and evaluating our systems on an ongoing basis, to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains, Taboola considers that the risk of slavery or human trafficking occurring in our own business or supply chain is minimal.

Approval 

This statement has been approved by the Directors of Taboola Europe Limited and Skimbit Ltd., and shall be reviewed annually, with any necessary updates made if appropriate.
